Preserving the 1930 Building's Rich History
Designed to pay respect to the historic structure originally constructed in the 1930's, the brick warehouse was left intact, with an added entrance to fulfill ADA requirements, and add a focal point to the building.
Large windows add natural light, and many historical features such as the stamped concrete columns, were left to highlight the building's rich history.
Old Liquor Warehouse
Previously serving as the State of Montana's Old Liquor Warehouse and then the State's print and mail processing center, the renovation and addition was designed to pay respect to the historic structure originally constructed in the 1930's.
The newly renovated building was branded the 'Old Liquor Block' to follow the naming tradition of other historic full-city-block buildings in Helena.

With a vibrant commons and cafeteria adjoining the main entry, the school feels welcoming to students and the community, while a gym and stage holds other community events and performances. The school's entries are designed to activate the surrounding downtown and neighborhood areas.
